I used to be a shy, artsy, and nerdy kid who felt out of place in athletic spaces. I knew something had to change, so in 2011 I nervously walked into my local YMCA with a beginner’s barbell program in hand...and the rest is history.

Strength training changed my life: it helped me feel proud of what my body could do and how it made me feel, and now I help others discover that same shift. I’m still pretty shy, artsy, and nerdy, but now I’m a lot stronger and braver, too.

When I’m not in the gym, you’ll find me trying to figure out what bird made that sound, researching native plants for my garden, experimenting with a new recipe, helping my son with his homework, or laughing while in attendance at my husband’s latest improv show.

What I Offer

I strive to create a friendly, inclusive, and welcoming space for anyone who wants to feel stronger and more confident in themselves.

I hold a special place in my heart for absolute beginners, quiet introverts, LGBTQ+ folks, 40-somethings (and older), and neurodivergent women and femmes, but even if you don’t see yourself mentioned here, I still want to work with you!

Before I became a personal trainer, I spent over 10 years as a graphic designer which honed my eye for detail and taught me the importance of structure, simplicity, and clear communication–all of which I bring into my coaching.

If you are:

• new to fitness or coming back after a break
• intimidated by mainstream gym culture
• seeking body- and weight-neutral coaching
• someone who prefers gentle encouragement

  • I walk into the gym with a constant fear of being injured. Nat manages to encourage and push you to your best in a way that prioritizes your comfort level. She will watch you, evaluate, and then the words: "Wow! Maybe you wanna try to go heavier?" No pressure. Just the confidence that sometimes a person doesn't have in the moment, she will pour into you. 5 stars, highly recommend, she's the best!

  • Gyms can be intimidating. Especially for folks returning to them in their forties. I expected to lose motivation within weeks. Six months later, I was surprised to find that going to strength class had become a daily practice. And a second space. That all comes down to the trainers. Coach Nat knows her form and technique. But it’s her easygoing nature, sense of humor, kindness, and genuine investment in each individual that make her truly one of a kind. She’ll help you build strength. And community. I’ve never been happier to go to the gym.

She bring the perfect blend of motivation and humor, and always makes me feel like my fitness goals are within reach (even when I don't!) She's a big reason why I keep coming back.

  • Nat brings an energy to training that makes you want to show up and improve. Her attention to form and her ability to keep sessions engaging create an environment where you’re not just going through the motions, you’re actually learning. The way she coaches reminds me of the best college professors - she doesn’t just teach you what to do, she makes sure it sticks. Because of her, the progress I’ve made in the gym has carried over long after the workout ends.
